Method

  3. Place over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Lower heat to maintain a slow simmer, stirring occasionally.
  5. Continue simmering until the vinegar reduces by half and thickens into a syrupy consistency, about 15–20 minutes.

  7. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  8. Transfer to a clean jar or squeeze bottle, then refrigerate if desired.
