- Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a 9-inch pie dish with one crust.
- In a bowl, mix goumi berries, sugar, starch, lemon juice, zest, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour berry mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
- Cover with second crust or lattice; seal and crimp edges.
- Cut slits for steam if using full top crust.
- Brush top with egg wash or plant-based milk.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool at least 2 hours before slicing to set.

Notes:
Use frozen berries directly; do not thaw.
Add ½ cup mixed berries for variety.
Cover crust edges with foil if browning too quickly.
