Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground turkey 85% lean recommended
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg optional, for extra binding
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for pan-searing or greasing grill
  • Burger buns lettuce, tomato, cheese, and condiments for serving

Equipment

  • Equipment:
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Grill or skillet
  • Spatula
  • Meat thermometer (optional but recommended)

Method

  1. Instructions:
  2. In a large bowl, gently mix together the ground turkey, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, egg (if using), and all seasonings.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
  4. Preheat grill or skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil the surface.
  5. Cook the patties for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking to retain moisture.
  6. Serve immediately on buns with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, cheese, and condiments.

Notes

Notes:
Avoid overmixing the turkey to keep the burgers tender.
Use a meat thermometer for best results and food safety.
You can freeze uncooked patties for later use – separate them with parchment paper.
For added flavor, mix in chopped herbs or shredded cheese directly into the patties.
