  • 2 –3 tablespoons hot water about 175°F / 80°C
  • ¾ cup milk of choice oat, almond, dairy, coconut, etc.
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional sweetener honey, maple syrup, agave, stevia
  • Optional flavor boosters vanilla extract, cinnamon, lavender

Method
 

  1. Instructions:
  2. Sift the matcha powder through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove any clumps.
  3. Add hot water to the matcha powder and whisk vigorously in a zig-zag (M or W) motion until frothy and smooth.
  4. Add sweetener if desired, whisking again to blend.
  5. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  6. Pour the whisked matcha over the ice.
  7. Slowly add your choice of milk over the matcha.
  8. Stir gently to combine, then sip and enjoy!

Use ceremonial grade matcha for the smoothest, brightest flavor.
Adjust sweetness to taste.
Plant-based milks like oat or coconut make a creamy, delicious latte.
To avoid a watery drink, freeze matcha into ice cubes and use instead of plain ice.
