  • ½ to ¾ cup cold milk dairy or plant-based like oat, almond, or coconut
  • Ice cubes

Method
 

  1. Instructions:
  2. Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl using a fine mesh sieve to remove clumps.
  3. Add hot water and whisk using a bamboo whisk (chasen) in a zigzag motion until the matcha is fully dissolved and a light froth forms.
  4. Add sweetener of your choice to the matcha and stir until dissolved.
  5. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  6. Pour milk over the ice, leaving space for the matcha layer.
  7. Gently pour the matcha mixture over the milk.
  8. Stir if desired, or leave layered for a visual appeal.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
