  • ¼ cup cold water
  • 1 cup almond milk or your choice of milk

  • Maple syrup or honey to taste (optional)

Method

  2. Macerate the Strawberries:
  3. Add chopped strawberries and cane sugar to a small bowl. Mash lightly with a fork and let sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Matcha:
  5. Sift matcha powder into a bowl. Add cold water. Whisk using a bamboo whisk or small regular whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy.
  6. Assemble the Latte:
  7. Add mashed strawberries to the bottom of a tall glass. Fill the glass halfway with ice. Pour in almond milk (or milk of choice) until about two-thirds full. Slowly pour the whisked matcha on top for a layered effect.
  8. Sweeten and Stir (Optional):
  9. Add maple syrup or honey to taste. Stir gently with a straw and enjoy!

Notes

Notes:
For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and maple syrup.
To save time, you can use 1 tablespoon of strawberry jam instead of fresh strawberries.
Adjust the amount of matcha depending on your caffeine preference.
