- Instructions:
- Wash sweet potatoes thoroughly. Peel if desired.
- Slice into ½-inch rounds or 1-inch chunks for even cooking.
- Fill a pot with about 1 inch of water and place the steamer basket inside (water should not touch the basket).
- Add the sweet potato pieces to the basket. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid.
- Bring water to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium and steam for 15–20 minutes until fork-tender.
- Remove from heat and serve warm. Season as desired.

Leave the skin on for added fiber and antioxidants.
Best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
To freeze, cool completely and store in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
Great for meal prep or baby food (mash after steaming).
